Three individuals, including the parents and maternal uncle of a 13-year-old girl, have been arrested in connection with the Sarsuna naked parade case in Kolkata after an 18-year-old youth, his father, and a 19-year-old friend were assaulted and paraded naked at gunpoint.
The incident took place on October 25 following an episode where the 18-year-old youth was caught kissing his 13-year-old girlfriend. Police initiated action after the youth’s father filed a complaint detailing severe assault, abduction, and threats.
What Happened Near Khalpar Math
According to police reports, the 18-year-old youth met the 13-year-old girl near Khalpar Math in the Sarsuna area, accompanied by a 19-year-old friend, and kissed her. An associate of the girl’s uncle witnessed the event and informed her family members.
The family captured both boys and detained them at a home in Khudiram Pally, where they were subjected to beatings. The youth’s father was subsequently summoned to the location and was also assaulted upon arrival.
Describing the harrowing ordeal, the victim’s father alleged in his complaint that he was given extreme ultimatums. “They called me over, confined the three of us, and then severely assaulted me. They gave me a choice: ‘Kill your son. If you don’t use a gun, stab him with a knife.’ The girl’s mother said she would heat the knife on the gas stove and hand it to me,” the father alleged.
Local residents stated that the accused individuals possessed firearms and actively threatened anyone who attempted to intervene.

Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Kunal Aggarwal stated, “They forced the three of them to parade naked for about 50 metres in the lane outside. They alleged that they were threatened at gunpoint to undress; however, no weapons have been recovered so far. CCTV footage is being collected.”

Locals Protest and Vandalise House
